Blue Oak Horticulture

I have purchased fig trees from Blue Oak Horticulture, and they are growing and producing figs in wonderful ways. One of the great things about Blue Oak (Ryan) is that he is so good to answer any question I have, and not just about fig trees. We talked about storing water in barrels to help heat green houses along with plants native to SC. He's like a walking plant encyclopedia, only better.

Great spot to buy native plants that are hard to find in the area. The folks really know what they're talking about and have a nice selection of perennials and shrubs. Everything I bought last fall is springing up and looking good!

Blue Oak Horticulture is a gem of a native plant nursery! Ryan and Carrie are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They take the time to walk through plant choices that would thrive in my yard’s specific conditions and gave me great advice on how to support local pollinators. The selection of native plants is fantastic. You can tell they care about helping customers succeed and promoting sustainable landscapes. Exceptional service, friendly people, and a real asset to the upstate. They frequently host well run events, workshops and even the SC Paw Paw festival. Highly recommend!

Blue Oak Horticulture is one of the best nurseries I’ve been to. There is a large variety of native plants, shrubs, and trees that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Everything was growing in great condition even in the mid-summer heatwave. Very fair prices as well. Ryan is very knowledgeable and helpful with making the right selections for your garden. Perfect place to get your backyard homestead started.

Love the selection of native plants and vegetable plants. Everything that I've bought from Blue Oak has thrived. I've attached a photo of the Blue Star that I bought last year, it's one of the first plants that start growing in the spring and is low maintenance! Highly recommend.
