We have ordered many plants before from High Country Gardens and have always had a great experience receiving quality plants, on time, and the whole operation has been professional and great to work with. So when 2 boxes of plants didn't show up I was pretty sure it was an issue with the carrier. I reached out to High Country and they responded quickly. They were understanding, helpful, professional, and took care of the issue immediately, just as they have always been. We love the plants and are excited to watch them grow and flourish. I highly recommend High Country Gardens and will continue to purchase plants from them for a long time.
We just got a delivery to Denver, and we were very impressed with both packaging and condition of the plants. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and care! I would 100% purchase again.
I purchased several plants from HCG for the first time this spring. I bought two wallflowers, and when they arrived, they were a pale lilac and not the vibrant purple/orange as advertised. When I contacted HCG they said it was probably from being in a box during shipping and to wait a few days. I was apprehensive, but lo and behold, they were right! Fast forward several months, and I have had plants die out. I was searching for Red Valerian, which was what brought me to the HCG site. I purchased three that arrived fine, but since then two have died out, though planted in the same area with the same conditions. I also purchased two Red Sea Thrifts that died. When I contacted HCG they were quick to respond and are sending me new plants. I'm very happy with the service and care at High Country Gardens.
Shawnee is a very good customer service rep. She reads and replies to the questions asked, where many other company reps do not. At first I thought I'd seed our 2000 sq ft back yard (see photo) with Rare Intermountain Native Wildflowers (see photo). Shawnee answered my questions on various mature heights and bloom colors. After I put in walking paths, I changed my mind. Shawnee graciously let me return the seeds, even though the deadline for returns had passed. I'll exchange these seeds for other gorgeous and unusual plants.
I've had a great experience with High Country Gardens (HCG). Last year I landscaped our home, and I ordered 90% of the plants from HCG and wild flower seeds. The plants I chose are mostly low water if not xeric. They arrived well packed, were of high quality and none of them arrived with insects or deceases. Only a few didn't make it through the winter, but HCG replaced them after seeing the pics I sent them. My gardens are absolutely spectacular. Only 2 years and they look fabulous. In addition, their phone agents are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend HCG to everyone.
