Beautiful place and great prices. I wish they had more choices in amendments. At least they aren't all on the fox farm pseudo elite squad. The Coast of Maine line is a bonus but wish they would carry the seedling mix and Stonington blend. It their elite line so its weird they forgo that on the inventory. They have a gorgeous setup and a vast amount of quality cultivars and gardening supplies. I just wish they beefed up the nutes with Botanicare, Cronk, Rock Resonator, Gaia Green, any hydroponic supplies ( rock wool, geolyte, buckets, reservoirs, etc. ). Hell carry some living soil raised garden beds (those PVC ones). well you has local worm castings which was dope but you are missing out on a critical revenue stream. Give me a DM and we can discuss.
Rainbow Gardens is our go-to nursery. Sure, we have the big box stores nearby and even another nursery closer to us, but they aren't Rainbow Gardens! What sets this place apart is the great staff, patient and always available to answer questions and walk you over to the actual plants and discuss in detail where you need to plant and the care of the plant. The staff is super knowledgeable. As far as selection, they always have what I am looking for in stock and then some! I never leave this place empty-handed. The prices are reasonable and the plants are always healthy. The gardens are quite large so a drawback would be. If you are in a wheelchair or handicap you might find this place a little difficult to navigate as there is an uphill area and uneven surfaces. But, I am sure the staff would be happy to assist you to get an item you need. If that was the case. I highly recommend Rainbow Gardens.
Todays outing included a stop at Rainbow Gardens Nursery in Thousand Oaks, San Antonio, Texas. The nursery is a lively and bustling spot for plant lovers, especially when the weather is perfect for gardening, like it is right now! The parking can be a bit tricky, as it's often tight, and you might have to circle around a few times to find an open spot. However, once you get in, the atmosphere is definitely worth it. You can either enter through the shop or head straight to the outdoor plant area from the outside entrance, where you’ll find an impressive variety of plants. The nursery is busy, but it's clear that it's a favorite for locals looking to start their planting projects. Despite the crowd, it's easy to get help when you need it, as the staff is readily available and knowledgeable. The selection of plants is great, catering to both beginners and seasoned gardeners alike. Whether you're looking for vibrant flowers, shrubs, or unique landscaping options, such as xeriscape plants, Rainbow Gardens has a lot to offer. It’s a very nice place to shop for all your gardening needs, with a friendly and busy vibe that makes it clear why it’s a go-to spot for plant enthusiasts in the area.
4-2-25 parking lot extremely small infront inless they have a side entrance. They do have couple entrance to walk in & look. They have tons of plants & other stuff. I posted pics of prices of vegetables & herbs. The rest has price on the plant didn't take pics of trees & other stuff. This first time going during wkday will go back again... oh you can see what I bought cost $54. Everything..
I have been to both locations, but this one seems to offer a huge variety of succulents and cacti. I'm a cacti person, and I was in awe! They have large ones, small ones, and they hit every price point, which I love. Every time I go, I leave with a cactus or two. I love their selection of plant pots and garden decorations. The staff has always been friendly, too. It's a great place to just look around! I live in far SE SA, and it's worth the drive.
