Peaceful place

Beautifully maintained, not a single piece of trash anywhere. Bonus: lots of frogs.

If you are looking for a peaceful easy and informative walk, the Haley Native Plant Garden is a good option in Hampton just off Route 6. Many of the plantings have helpful signs indicating what is in the bed… or more like some of what is in the bed. Other signs provide helpful insights for kids and adults alike. We visited late in the season so many of the plants were out of bloom. It was a nice, relaxing and shady walk none the less. As we are interested in using more native plants in our garden, we found our visit to be very helpful. Volunteers maintain the gardens. And they certainly need more volunteers to help. From June to August they sell plants on the honor system in a cart just inside the garden.
