About

Rock Bridge Trees is a Tennessee-based nursery specializing in southern-grown trees selected for their ecological value, productivity, and regional adaptation. Founded by Farmer Dave, the nursery focuses on trees for pollinators, fruit production, nut crops, and wildlife habitat, with particular expertise in varieties suited to warm, humid climates. All trees are grown in root-pruning fabric containers that develop dense, fibrous root systems, ensuring faster establishment and reduced transplant stress compared to bare-root alternatives. The nursery ships nationwide with included shipping east of the Rocky Mountains, offering personalized consultation to help customers select the best trees for their specific location, soil conditions, and land management goals.

Bought two trees and shipped to Glenwood, IA after purchasing from Fast Growing Trees (Don’t recommend fast growing or nature hills). Much more pleased with Rock Bridge Trees! Your tress were more reasonably priced and healthier. If I purchase online again, it will definitely be from Rock Bridge! Very pleased!

I bought two pecan trees, a Fred's Major type 1 and a Kanza Type 2. Both are listed on University of Missouri Extension's list of blight resistant pecan varieties. In late August I called and spoke with Farmer Dave. He told me that if I ordered at that time he preferred to ship the first week of November as the trees transported better due to cooler weather. I ordered them. they arrived very punctually on the first week of November via FedEx, who surprisingly- didn't throw them onto my porch as they usually toss.other packages... I ordered the 2 gallon size and they arrived trimmed and ready to plant with clear planting instructions. I dug the holes as directed and removed the plastic bags and root bags and planted then mulched and watered in. While waiting for the trees from August and early September, I planned my planting location and took soil samples (drying them as prescribed by the extension center) to determine nutrient requirements and amended my soil at my planting site as prescribed by the soils report. Rock Bridge Trees has been very responsive and the trees are as I anticipated. I am looking forward to watching them grow and though I have to...I can't wait till they produce their first pecans.

Great selection and friendly folks! They go the extra mile to make things right. I've purchased trees several times over the years and even made a visit to the nursery. I'm happy to support this business, such great trees.

FIRE BLIGHT. Do not buy. Ordered one medlar from Rock Bridge Trees and two from another company. The Rock Bridge Tree died while the other two flourished. Contacted and was informed that the business was/is fighting fire blight and that the plant died from fire blight. Our entire orchard of apples, pears and medlar is now in jeopardy. We have never had fire blight and have been meticulous. Company then sold us back the tree as a "refund" and was charged an extra fee for "selling" on Paypal.

I've been mail ordering trees for almost 40 years. I was a little concerned about the price he wanted for a Javid's almond. Especially from a nursery I'd never heard of: there are some fly by night operators that send out pathetic little whips, barely rooted, these days. But there was nothing to worry about! The tree was very well grown with a strong root system, and is already almost 5' a few months after planting.
