About

Bird Alliance of Oregon, formerly known as Audubon Oregon, is a Portland-based conservation organization dedicated to protecting native birds, wildlife, and their habitats across the Oregon landscape. Through a comprehensive approach combining habitat protection, wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and community stewardship, the organization works to create a region where people and wildlife flourish together. The Bird Alliance operates three wildlife sanctuaries totaling over 172 acres, rehabilitates injured and orphaned native wildlife, and empowers thousands of community members through volunteer opportunities, backyard habitat restoration programs, and equitable access to nature education. With expertise spanning forests, grasslands, coastal, marine, and urban ecosystems, the organization inspires people of all ages to explore and connect with Oregon's natural world while advocating for policies that protect the state's precious wildlife and wild places.
