About

Wild Ones Greater Richmond Virginia Chapter is a dynamic native plant organization dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly landscaping practices that preserve and restore biodiversity across the Richmond region and surrounding counties. Chartered in 2023, this growing chapter serves residents of Richmond, Charles City, Chesterfield, Cumberland, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, and Powhatan counties, bringing together like-minded individuals passionate about native plant communities. The chapter supports members in learning native plant landscaping techniques while educating their communities about the critical importance of reintroducing native plants into public and private gardens to support healthy ecosystems and wildlife habitats.

As part of the national Wild Ones network, the Greater Richmond Virginia Chapter operates as a space where change happens at the local level. Members gather to share knowledge, access educational resources including national webinars, and collaborate on initiatives that increase sustainable practices supporting biodiversity. The chapter empowers local residents to build habitats incorporating native plants, expand the natural landscaping movement, and create meaningful environmental impact in their communities.
