About
The New Mexico Land Conservancy is an accredited, statewide nonprofit land trust dedicated to preserving New Mexico's land heritage by helping people conserve the places they love. Through conservation easements and strategic land protection partnerships, the organization has conserved over 773,000 acres across New Mexico's diverse regions, with an ambitious goal to protect one million acres by 2030. The conservancy focuses on protecting critical natural resources including watersheds, wildlife habitat, and working agricultural lands that sustain both ecosystems and rural communities. By partnering with ranchers, farmers, government agencies, and conservation organizations, NMLC ensures that New Mexico's open spaces, native habitats, and agricultural heritage are preserved for public benefit and future generations.
